Blazer: H&M, Turtleneck: Club Monaco, Trousers: Zara, Shoes: Aldo
I've always been a big fan of blazers and I'm ecstatic that I'll be wearing them more often in the very near future. I hope to launch my career and although it is not required for journalists to wear suits or even blazers all the time, I think it is very important (as discussed here) to not only look the part, but to look professional.
What I'm really excited for is to find ways to dress up those blazers or to show my personality through more serious business attire. I think that can easily be achieved through jewellery choices.
I wore an outfit similar to this one (I wore dark pants instead) to a casual business meeting and I think it's very hip, but business casual. Then I realized that the definition of business casual is very muddled, so I decided to figure it out.
I found this great article by The New York Times that delves into what many professionals think business casual is. I think as a woman in a casual environment, I got it right...but it is quite confusing.
If you've ever had to dress up for a meeting, what did you wear? What is your definition of business casual?

i agree, business casual is so vague. it completely depends on the specific company's culture. i do like the outfit posted! would totally rock it at my own job. :)
